This thread is designed to be an information pack, a FAQ of sorts. for new members and should be one of the first places you visit when coming here for the first time.

CRAP is the Casual Racing Affiliates Program. We are a group of casual gamers who focus mainly on the Gran Turismo franchise on the PS3.
There is an admin team comprised of Heathenpride (the group founder), tris73 (HP's deputy) and JohnSchoonsBeard who is in charge of most of the events that you will race in. We are all available for questions at any time, we are very approachable and look forward to hearing from you all.
We are all available to handle any query but a good rule to follow is this: For any site related issues and any personal issues approach HP and Tris. For any online racing issues and event questions you can approace JSB. We do ask though that you include us all in the private message so we are all on the same page so to speak.
We were but the limited functionality of the site made it hard to properly organise events so we made a new home for ourselves here.
Absolutely! We started as a group of members who really didn't have much time to focus on spending all day on GT5. We are people with families, jobs and real life commitments that restrict online time so you will find more than a few "noobs" in the group. We have really fast guys too and also moderately quick drivers so there is a really good, and healthy, mix of skill levels among our members.
I can only get online once a week, will that be OK?
Definitely. We don't all get a heap of spare time so there is no quota of hours online that you need to meet, nothing like that, you just jump online when you can.
The admin team conduct reviews of members a few times a year in order to identify members that have not been online for over 3 months. If we identify members we will contact them and ask if they are still happy to be a part of the group. Often we get a reply but sometimes we do not (we use email, forum PM and PSN PM to do this so it is not a half hearted attempt) and then we must decide on whether to remove them for inactivity.
We do it to ensure that we retain a group of as many active members as possible because we are only a smallish group. It does not always work out but for the most part it does.
No we don't, we have banned 3 members and had a couple delete themselves which means in 2 years we have had minimal issues.
Banning occurs for any number of normal forum reasons BUT we are VERY lenient. We don't like banning anyone as we feel it reflects poorly on the group but the sad fact is that it is a necessary evil in the online world. Basically if you are respectful of others, do not attempt to cheat by using hacked cars and respect staff then there is really no reason to be banned.
That is a special user group for members that have either been long serving members or those who have had a big positive impact on the group. We felt that a good way to reward those would be to grant them Life Member status which excludes them from the normal member reviews, it means they can come and go as they please without having to worry about being removed.

So, what is CRAP?

Why are you not over at GTP?
We were but the limited functionality of the site made it hard to properly organise events so we made a new home for ourselves here.
I'm a completer noob, is that OK?
I can only get online once a week, will that be OK?
Definitely. We don't all get a heap of spare time so there is no quota of hours online that you need to meet, nothing like that, you just jump online when you can.
I have seen members removed from the forum, what gives with that?
Why would you remove members though?
We do it to ensure that we retain a group of as many active members as possible because we are only a smallish group. It does not always work out but for the most part it does.
I notice there's a couple of banned members, do you ban people often?
No we don't, we have banned 3 members and had a couple delete themselves which means in 2 years we have had minimal issues.

What is the "CRAP Life Member" nomenclature that I have seen on some profiles?
That is a special user group for members that have either been long serving members or those who have had a big positive impact on the group.
